Sand Volleyball Rules
Keep things moving: Warm up off to the side before your game starts.
Coin toss to determine serve/side when your team is on deck.
Switch sides when one team reaches 11 points. No 2nd game.
Rally scoring is allowed with net serves
There is no guy/girl rule in relation to number of touches.
Stay on your side of the net - if you are blatantly in or under the net it is a side out. No roofing.
All body parts are playable: hands, head feet, etc.
Double hits, catches, and blatant lifts are a side out.
Ball not playable off any structure (pole, tent, electric box, etc.).
Players in the back row cannot attack or block at the net.
Back row attacks are permitted.
You cannot attack or block a serve.
If the ball lands on any part of the line it is considered in.
The ball must go over the net - over poles, ropes, etc. is considered out.
Call your own and each other's fouls.
Ultimately disputes are at the discretion of the volunteer in charge.
